Can I apply to more than one location or service line?

We accept one application per candidate. We recommend that you apply to the location and service line that you are most interested in pursuing once you graduate.

Not sure what service line you’re interested in? Click here to discover what career options are available to you at Grant Thornton.

I’ve previously been unsuccessful, can I apply again?

Yes, you’re welcome to reapply however you will be required to complete a new application form.

Before re-applying, we encourage you to review your previous application and take time to reflect on how you can improve your application. Make sure you submit the most recent copy of your academic transcript and describe any skills and experiences on your resume that you’ve gained since you last applied.

I need an adjustment to the recruitment process, what should I do?

If you require an adjustment to the recruitment process, please contact Kate Minns, Senior Graduate Recruitment Business Partner at 03 8663 6436 or at GTTalentScouts@au.gt.com to discuss your application and how we can best support you.

Do I need to be CA eligible?

A number of service lines do require candidates to be eligible for entry into the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand CA Program upon completion of their degree. The application form will only provide you with the option to apply for those locations and service lines that are compatible with your CA eligibility.

Do I need to complete my CA if I join the graduate program?

If you are planning to join the Audit, Private Business Tax & Advisory or Tax teams you will be required to complete your Chartered Accountants qualification.

If you are joining the Financial Advisory team, the requirement to complete the CA or CFA will depend on the requirements of each location and you will be provided this information when you meet us at the assessment centres.

If you are joining the Consulting team, you will be supported to undertake CA if you are eligible and wish to do so, but you will not be required to undertake this qualification.

Do you have any graduate placement for business support functions?

Unfortunately we don’t have any formal student and graduate programs for non-client facing roles.  However, from time to time entry level will become available across our business support functions. We recommend that you set up a Job Alert for roles that you may be interested in so that you can be notified as soon as an opportunity becomes available.

Can I apply for a role outside of Australia?

Absolutely! You can apply for open positions in more than 135 countries in which we have member firms. Your eligibility will depend on what the role requires, as well as qualification and visa restrictions in the hiring countries. You can find out more about working with Grant Thornton International member firms here.
