New lockdowns across the country. Anyone under 60 can request the AstraZeneca vaccine. Vaccinations becoming mandatory for aged care workers by September.

A lot can change in a matter of days and has done so this week when it comes to the impact of COVID-19 across the country, with major changes to Australia’s vaccine rollout just announced.

Vaccinations and workforce management: Questions to ask your business

What can I reasonably expect of our people? What role can our business play to get people back and ensure business continuity? What strategies – like rapid testing – can we consider? Use this decision support tool we have developed as a way to start conversations and initiate plans in your business.

We know that Australia reopening to the world – and bolstering our economy – depends largely on our ability to vaccinate the population. Even then, borders will only be opened incrementally. Also, with the increased movement of people nationally, we can expect breakouts to occur. The medical facts support this.

To give businesses and the public more certainty, we must break the cycle of lockdowns, shutdowns and border closures. Research suggests some Australians are on the fence about when or if they will get vaccinated, so how can businesses move forward? And what rights do employers and employees have, and what legally can and can’t be requested from both sides, when it comes to health decisions?

In this webinar, we discuss what’s next for Australian businesses to consider in the ongoing COVID pandemic, including:

  • Policies and plans to address vaccinated and unvaccinated employees, clients, customers and providers
  • Questions around: How do I generally get people back? Can certain days be mandated? Can you create working cohorts?
  • In what circumstances you can require your people to be vaccinated
  • What the future of business continuity looks like when outbreaks are unpredictable and communicable
  • Different scenarios that may play out over the next 18 – 24 months
  • The essential COVID-19 considerations all business leaders must factor into future business decisions
